David Mustain is a mechanical engineer with >17 years of expertise in the petrochemical, oil & gas refining, and heavy industrial sectors. He has hands-on experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of rotating equipment, pressure systems, instrumentation, and control systems. David believes that a balance of technical and experiential knowledge are required to fully understand and explain incidents.
David specializes in forensic investigations and arbirtration related to industrial accidents, worker's compensation, and product liability. His ability to translate complex engineering findings into clear and actionable insights makes him a valuable resource for legal teams, insurance firms, and industry leaders.
David serves on the Louisiana State University (LSU) Mechanical Engineering Industrial Advisory Council and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society. David is committed to developing future engineers and continuously improving his skills and knowledge.
Outside of work, David enjoys traveling with family and home renovations. David is a licensed real estate sales agent & Realtor who loves a good fixer upper.
